WIN! Sherlock on Blu-ray

WIN! Sherlock on Blu-raySherlock Holmes swaps the gaslight and hansom cabs of the Victorian era for the 21st  century’s mobile phones and iPods, in this edgy new crime drama from Doctor Who writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

Dr John Watson (Martin Freeman) returns from the Afghanistan war a directionless lost soul; a chance encounter brings him into the orbit of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), an intellectual genius and ‘consulting detective’ who solves crimes for his own amusement.

Together, the pair of them take on the mysteries that have confounded the police, leaving the likes of Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves) baffled.

Sherlock is out now on DVD (priced £19.99) and Blu-ray (priced £24.99), featuring all three episodes of the BBC series, plus audio commentaries and a making-of documentary.

WIN! Fringe season two on Blu-ray

WIN! Fringe season two on Blu-ray

When the FBI is confronted by the inexplicable, it falls to the Fringe Division to investigate, in this sci-fi series from the creators of Alias and the revamped Star Trek.

The show picks up from its season one cliffhanger, which saw FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) stranded in an alternate universe. She’s quickly  returned to our Earth – with no memory of where she’s been.

Meanwhile, Agent Broyles (Lance Reddick) travels to Washington DC to justify the Fringe Division’s continued operation, while a shapeshifter tries to kill Dunham. It’s the start of a season-long battle for survival as the parallel reality threatens to totally destroy our own.

From the pens of JJ Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, Fringe stars Anna Torv as Olivia Dunham, John Noble as scientist Walter Bishop and Joshua Jackson as his son, Peter.

Fringe season two is available on DVD (priced £49.99) and Blu-ray (priced £59.99) from September 27. The box set features all 23 episodes, including The Unearthed Episode starring Kirk Acevedo as Charlie, plus four hours of special features.
